Zoe Saldana (born June 19 in 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. Her parents, Aridio and Asalia were both born in Puerto Rico. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father is Dominican. At the age of 10, young, she and her family were relocated into the Dominican Republic, where they would live for the next seven years. Zoe discovered a keen desire to perform dances when living abroad. She began her training with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in order to master ballet along with a myriad of other dance styles. It was a great way to exercise an active child.
